With a passion for soccer ignited at the tender age of 5, Jasmin Corniel embarked on a journey that would shape her life both on and off the field. Rising through the ranks, she honed her skills to compete at the highest level of the sport, gracing the field with dedication and determination.

As a pivotal member of a nationally-ranked team, Jasmin soared to the upper echelons of youth soccer, solidifying her prowess among the nation's elite. At 15, she earned her place on the regional team, proudly representing her area with distinction, clenching a spot among the top 18 in the region.

The culmination of her efforts led to a remarkable opportunity—a full ride scholarship to Fairfield University, where Jasmin continued to shine on the field, contributing her talents to the Division One soccer program. Her strengths as a forward, marked by speed and tenacity, set her apart as a formidable force on the pitch. Notably, she was chosen as the MAAC (Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference) preseason player of the year, a testament to her exceptional skills and leadership on the field.

Following her collegiate career, Jasmin transitioned to the semi-professional realm, where she continued to thrive, fueled by a relentless passion for the game. As her playing days unfolded, so too did her desire to impart her knowledge and expertise onto others.

Stepping into the coaching realm, Jasmin assumed the role of Graduate Assistant Coach for a Division Two women's soccer team, where she cultivated talent and mentored aspiring athletes. The opportunity to contribute to the development of young players fueled her passion for coaching.

A pivotal moment arrived when she was invited to join the NWSL reserve team for the Boston Breakers, an experience that affirmed her dedication and skill at the professional level. As she immersed herself in the professional environment during preseason training, Jasmin recognized the profound impact soccer had on shaping her character and ambition.

Following this transformative experience, Jasmin made the decision to transition away from her playing career, shifting her focus towards academia. Pursuing a Master's degree in Special Education, she embarked on a new path, driven by a desire to make a difference beyond the soccer field.

Currently, with seven years of teaching experience spanning from grades 3k to 5th grade, Jasmin continues to inspire and empower young minds, infusing her passion for soccer into every aspect of her professional journey. From coaching players of all ages, from toddlers to collegiate athletes, she remains committed to fostering growth, resilience, and excellence both on and off the field.
